Auf der LG Facebook Seite in Estland wurde am letzten Donnerstag mitgeteilt, dass es ein Update auf Android 4.4 KitKat für das LG Optimus G geben wird. Nun teilt LG jedoch mit, dass diese Mitteilung eine Fehlinformation war.
Mittlerweile wurde der Facebook Post gelöscht. Eigentlich wollte man nur verkünden, dass ein Update für das Optimus G kommt, damit 4G Internet unterstützt wird – aber nicht ein Update auf Android 4.4 KitKat.
“Mistakenly, there has been information spreading via LG Electronics Estonia Facebook page that LG Optimus G (E975) will receive an Android 4.4 KitKat update in Estonia,” LG told Cult of Android. “We confirm that it is not so and sincerely apologize for any given false or ambiguous information.”
De facto weiß selbst LG noch nicht einmal, wann und vor allem ob ein Update auf Android 4.4 KitKat für das Optimus G kommen wird. Das koreanische Unternehmen entschuldigt sich wegen dem Vorfall bei Besitzern eines Optimus G, die derzeit auf ein Update hoffen.
“Currently in our possession we have no information on whether and when LG Optimus G (E975) will receive an Android 4.4 KitKat update in Estonia,” a spokesperson told us. “If this information comes to our knowledge we will immediately update you.”
